Salary:  $45,500-$68,000   

Location:  Essex County

Requirements/Competencies:

• B.S. degree preferred in brewing-related science or engineering discipline( i.e. fermentation, science, chemistry, biochemical, or chemical engineering, etc.)

• Solid people communication skills

• At least one year production-related experience, a plus.

• Leadership skills are critical to this position...comfort level with change, and ability to lead change, are essential.

• Able to work ROTATING SHIFTS AND IRREGULAR HOURS (OVERTIME)

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise production workforce (brewers)

• Develop and monitor beer movement and production plans to maintain quality and accomplish current and future schedules.

• Troubleshoot and monitor brewing operations and equipment in the brewery (both manned and automated process equipment).

• Release product to packaging based on lab results and sensory evaluation.

• Ensure the Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) are being followed.

• Coordinate scheduled preventative maintenance work.

• Coach brewers, enforce safe working practices, and maintain records.

• Participate in deployment of Commitment to Excellence (CTE) related activities.
